Constitution Name
The organization shall be Cornerstone Landing Youth Services as stated in the incorporation document

Mission Statement
Cornerstone Landing is a community based, non-profit, charitable organization, that works toward the prevention of youth homelessness in rural Lanark County by raising public awareness of the issue and providing direct support for young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

In order to achieve its aims, the group may raise money as a charitable institution, open bank accounts, acquire and run buildings, take out insurance, employ staff, organize events, work with similar groups to exchange information and advice, and do anything that is lawful which will help it to fulfill its mission statement.

A membership has a paid membership and has filled out a membership form. This membership allows voting privleges. The membership of any member may be terminated for good reason by the Board provided that the member concerned shall have the right to be accompanied by legal counsel or his agent before a final decision is made.
Genreal Meetings
General meetings for the membership shall be held at least two times per year, excluding the AGM.

Special General Meetings
A special general meeting may be called by the Board or three members to discuss an urgent matter. A notice of fourteen days and the business to be discussed shall be given. At least three members can call a general meeting.

Alterations To The Constitution
Any changes my be agreed upon by at least two-thirds of those members present and voting at a General Meeting.

The corporation may be wound up at any time if agreed upon by two-thirds of those members present and voting at any General Meeting
Decision Making
Decisions of the Board are made through a consensus process.

The Board of Directors
The organization shall be administered by a Board of Directors consisting of a maximum of 10 or a minimum of 5 individuals
The Board shall be elected by the membership for one year
The Officers of the Board shall be the chair, the Secretary and the Treasurer
The Board may co-opt individuals in an advisory and non-voting capacity. The Board will develop policies to be voted on by a general open meeting. The Board shall meet a minimum of six times per year. At least four members must be present for form a quorum
If there is a tied vote, then the Chair shall have a second vote
The Board shall have the power to remove a member of the Board for a good and proper reason.

The duties of the Board are to ensure the general management and overall operations and to apply clear and concise information and liason between government agencies and the general public
The chair has the responsibility to delegate responsibility for certain issues

Any funding with conditions attached will be brought forward to the membership
Any bank account shall be in the name of Cornerstone Landing
Cheques shall be signed by any two of the three signing Board Officers.
Annual Genreal Meeting
An Annual General Meeting (AGM) shall be held in June
Fourteen days' notice will be given to the membership
Reports from the Chair and the Treasurer shall be presented
An election for the Board of Directors shall be held
New business may be discussed
